Who exactly needs a private financial administration?

Everybody should have his financial situation organised systematically. In case of emergency, a third party can get a quick overview. A clearly arranged financial administration enables you to have a correct overview over your private financial situation. That makes it much easier to prevent of stepping into the debt trap.

Do I need special knowledge to organise my financial situation with Or-Fin?

No, Or-Fin is laid out simple and self-explaining. Clearly arranged spreadsheets make the data entry of the specific financial positions easy and lead you through the programme. You will get a first and practical visual impression by the video introduction. Further support is provided by the support assistant and the online help.

What does exactly mean: "organising ones’ finances"?

It is the aim of your financial organisation to get an exact overview over your assets, what insurances you hold, if there are loans and wills and how income and expenditure looks like. From that, you can derive information about your present financial situation.

Can I use Or-Fin to plan my financial security?

Knowledge about your present financial situation offers you a solid base for planning your financial security. The modules for planning your financial situation in your old age, or in case of death or long-term disability will be out soon.

How much time do I need to get a complete overview with this software?

The time you need for the financial planning process is due to the amount of paperwork you have and how well-organised your papers are at the moment. I can reassure you that the data entry shall take just a few hours.

Can I test Or-Fin without obligation in advance?

Yes, just download the free-of-charge demo version and test it unhurriedly.

What are the technical requirements my computer has to fulfill?

You can use the concept of Or-Fin on any standard computer. You just need at least a 800 MHz Processor, free harddisk memory of 40 MB and a RAM memory of 256 MB, a SVGA graphics board with a screen solution of at least 1024 x 768, 256 colours and a WINDOWS Operating System WINDOWS 2000 or XP.

How secure is Or-Fin?

The database is password-protected to secure the user data. It is planned to offer data export and import with XML.

Technical questions

I have downloaded an Or-Fin update but I receive the error message: "Application could not be started, because file "redg.dll" has not been found. Reinstallation of the application could solve the problem."

Transfer the files which were saved on your desktop during update (Or-Fin.exe, AbtD.dll and probably one or two other files like Or-Fin.chm) into the Or-Fin Explorer directory. If you have accepted the proposed standard during installation, it is "C:/Programms/dsa GmbH/Or-Fin".
